Though it comes as no surprise that GM would want to roll-out the first Chevy Volts in the state that popularized the Prius and is home to Tesla Motors, it still stings that NJ gets no love. California will be the epicenter of the Volt launch as a result of partnerships with some local utilities. Further greasing the wheels is $30 million in stimulus funding.
It’s fun to chart the car’s progress — so far, folks that have taken it for a spin seem pleased — and it’s also exciting to see the Volt’s launch plans solidifying. Almost makes you overlook CEO Fritz Henderson’s sudden exit… almost.
