I’ll admit, I was skeptical, but it looks like Solar Components‘ Joos Orange is indeed the solar gadget charger that geeks on the go have been waiting for. Gizmodo’s Brian Lam put the device through its paces and described it as the “best solar charger [he’d] ever tested.”
It’s a bit on the heavy side, but at just $100, Joos appears to be the solar charger to beat when it goes on sale sometime this quarter. Let’s hope Eastern Asia Technology Limited, Solar Components’ contract manufacturer, can get the units to our shores toot sweet. In the meantime, enjoy this video of the Joos doing its thing while submerged in water.
