BLI Lauds Xerox ColorQube

Xerox ColorQubeXerox’s ColorQube 9200 color printer received the Outstanding Achievement Award from office equipment testing outfit Buyers Laboratory Inc. The office printer has the distinction of using solid ink cartridges, which don’t require an outer plastic housing and therefore reduces waste.

The eco-conscious design is one reason BLI gave Xerox the award…

Less waste – Due to the cartridge-free solid ink technology, there is much less waste and low environmental impact. Aside from the ink sticks, the devices have only one customer-replaceable component. Compare this to similar toner-based MFPs that require much more user intervention – replacement of toner cartridges and multiple drums.

That aside, the dead-tree embellishment device was also found to reduce costs; streamline document management; and make it easy on office staffers with user-friendly operation.

So if you must print (in color) it may be worth your office manager’s attention.
